Where Art Meets Heat
HHC Services
Basic Logo Burn
Starting at $49
I have the ability to transfer your provided logo onto a wooden board for your office/work space through a hand-burning process. The cost will be determined based on the intricacy of the logo, as well as the size and type of wood selected. Each request will receive a personalized quote for your review and approval. Wood options usually include Basswood, Cherry, Acacia, and occasionally a light Walnut.
Pet Memorials
Starting at $35
Pet memorials are a great way to preserve cherished memories. They make heartfelt gifts for those mourning the loss of their beloved pet. Choose from a selection of plaques for wall or easel, ornaments, and keepsake boxes in various sizes. Simply provide a high-quality photo and we will create a custom line art design that is then etched into the wood by hand using a pyrography technique.
Commissioned Art
Starting at $60
If you have artwork that you have personally created or have obtained permission from an artist, including tattoo designs, and would like to have it transferred onto wood, I am more than happy to explore potential options with you.
More about HHC
The ‘Pyro’ behind HHC is Sue, an adventurous creative soul. Sue and her husband have journeyed across different states before finally settling back in Arizona. She grew up in sunny San Diego, but after raising a family and finishing school had a thirst for exploration and new experiences.
From the vibrant energy of California, Sue and her husband ventured off to the tranquil landscapes of Montana while he completed his internship. Sue has always embraced the simplicity and beauty of the great outdoors, especially in Montana. From there they moved to Arizona, spent a couple years in Prescott and another long three years in Phoenix. From there they went on a three year full-time RV excursion. They set roots for a while the vast expanse of Texas. Wyoming's rugged wilderness captivated them eventually, and they settled there before one more move back to Arizona.
In 2020, Sue discovered her talent for pyrography, the art of wood burning. Self-taught and determined, she honed her skills in this ancient art form, choosing to opt for the traditional method over modern laser or CNC equipment. Her dedication and love for the craft brought a true old form of decorative art back to life, infusing each piece with a sense of history and authenticity.
Back in Arizona and settled into the wonderful community of Prescott, they share a passion for creativity and design. With his architectural studio open and busy, Sue often finds herself helping out the office, and on the side lines they are bringing their own unique touch to the old small house renovation they live in.
Outside of her artistic pursuits, Sue is a proud rescue dog mom and loves hiking in the local forest areas. They both enjoy the Jeep life of overlanding when time allows pursuing the quietness and solace of nature. She finds inspiration in nature, and puts her effort into a life that is intentionally minimalistic and in harmony with the world around her.
Through her unique journey and creative endeavors, Sue's story is a testament to the power of passion, resilience, and the beauty of embracing old traditions in a modern world.
